Instead of limiting product search to standard fields only, this module gives full flexibility to choose additional fields such as product name, internal reference, barcode, descriptions, and custom text fields. Customers can then search products on the website using values stored in those selected fields. Navigate to Website → Configuration → Websites and open your desired website record.
Go to the Product Search tab. Inside the Dynamic Search Configuration section, you will find the Product Search Fields option. This allows you to dynamically select specific product fields that should be used for website search functionality.
Inside the Product Search Fields, you will find both product and variant fields available for selection. You can select multiple fields to be used for website search, such as Internal Reference, Barcode, Description, or any custom fields, enabling a dynamic and flexible product search experience.
Product contains values in the fields selected in the website configuration, those values will be used in the website search results and will help users find the product on the website.
Go to Website → Shop, click on the search panel, and enter the product search value. The website will automatically suggest products based on the values of the configured search fields.
We have also enabled product variant support, allowing barcode values from product variants to be used for website search. This helps users find the correct product directly using the variant barcode.
Inside the website, click on the search icon to open the search popup. Then enter a value in the search field. The global search will work based on the website configuration and will show autocomplete suggestions for products. This helps users easily find products using dynamic product search fields.
Does this replace default Odoo search?
- No. It extends the existing Odoo website product search.

- Yes. If barcode field is selected in Product Search settings.

- Yes. Supports custom stored text, char, and html fields.

- No. Admin can configure fields directly from backend.
Does it support multiple websites?
- Yes. Each website can have its own search configuration.
Will it affect existing products?
- No. It only improves search functionality.
Is autocomplete supported?
- Yes. Website autocomplete search also uses configured fields.
