Fetch Attachments From Server is a powerful Odoo module that automates the process of importing files from FTP servers and attaching them to the correct records in Odoo. With a user-friendly interface, you can configure server credentials, specify the target Odoo model, define import directories, and map filenames to corresponding record references (e.g., Sales Order S00002, Invoice INV/2025/00001, etc.). Once set up, a scheduled cron job handles the file fetching automatically — no manual effort required. The module ensures files are securely transferred, properly attached to matching records, and logs every operation for full traceability.

After installing the application, the FTP syncing menu becomes accessible.

On this screen, enter the FTP credential details for server connection. Use the ‘Check Connection’ button to verify connectivity.Once connected to FTP, click on the ‘Click to create automatic cron jobs’ button to generate a cron job for auto fetch attachments from server. You can access the cron job through the smart button.Next, select the ‘Fetch Attachment From Server’ store,Select odoo model in which you need to import attachments,define the server directory names for importing and Provide the display name of the Odoo model record for reference (e.g For Sale Order set – ‘S00002’, For Invoice set – ‘INV/2025/00001’, etc.)

The created scheduled action will automatically fetch attachments from server.

Imports files from the server after the scheduled action runs and automatically attaches them to matching odoo records based on your configuration.

Log details, including successful and failed operations, can be found under the ‘Log Details’ menu in FTP syncing.
